BEN WEGG
Fresh off the release of his new EP 'Halfway Home,' Ben Wegg is hitting the stage at Dead Wax, Norwich for a night you won't want to miss. He's bringing his full band with support from Ella Edwards.
Ben Wegg, a singer/songwriter from Norfolk, blends indie and pop influences, drawing inspiration from artists like Dominic Fike, The 1975, Harry Styles, and many more. Fresh off his latest EP, "Halfway Home," he's embarking on a summer tour with his incredibly talented band. Check out all of his music on streaming platforms everywhere!
Suffolk-based singer-songwriter Ella Edwards contributes to the indie pop genre, using reverb guitar to accompany her emotive take on life as a teenager. Beginning her career as a guitarist at 13 in a high school band, playing small gigs and competitions, slowly brought her to her songwriting journey at 16. Her songs “reglow”, “take me home” and “back to you” (released June 12th) highlight a mix of yearning and summer vibes.

Draw Some Paws brings art and animals together. Join our fun 2 hour sketching sessions where lovely pets take the place of regular models, happily posing for treats and plenty of affection.
This workshop is super chill and structured —grab a drink and sketch adorable pets live with guided tutition. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, it's a great chance to get creative and meet fellow pet lovers.
We bring the supplies and models, you just bring yourself :-)
As it's on a Sunday, there's free on-road parking or you could park at St.Andrews which is a stones throw away.
THE PORTLAND
The past twelve months has seen The Portland supporting the Stanleys on a sell-out tour, making their London debut, supporting The Hunna and ending the year playing a sell-out show in their home city of Peterborough. In 2026, the band have support slots scheduled with Adult Leisure, Cruz, World News and King No-One.
Musically the band are influenced sonically by Pixies, Wunderhorse, Keo, Fontaines DC, The Clause and Foals. Filled with passion, energy, and authenticity, The Portland are a band that have to be witnessed live.
The band were recently named Artist of the Week, by the music industry podcast The Money Trench and invited to play a gig at The Victoria, in London, in partnership with the mighty cool, London based independent record label, Fierce Panda Records.
“Twenty-one-year-olds from Peterborough who look like your local indie band, but sound like a Zeppelin-fed bunch of Pearl Jam fans. Old souls with a killer guitarist shamelessly bringing back the glory of the proper classic rock solo. I am 100% here for it and looking forward to what they do next” Mike Walsh, The Money Trench.

Stress Positions is a band from Chicago, IL. The band is made up of three members from the now-defunct C.H.E.W. (Drummer Jonathan Giralt, guitarist Benyamin Rudolph, and bassist Russell Harrison) with new vocalist Stephanie Brooks. The band formed in 2020 during the Covid pandemic and plays forward-looking classic American hardcore punk. This is jungle D-Beats for clapping cheeks. Expect the unexpected in the kingdom of madness.
Red Mar produce an experimental and highly visceral form of rock music. The project was formed out of exploratory improvisations between members Miles Lukoszevieze and Harry Fisher while in high school. Since then it has established a group of likeminded multi-instrumentalist musicians who together create a precise and expressive form of noise-rock, while eschewing simple categorisation. Their live shows are uniquely confrontational, and their recorded material enveloping and unpredictable. Red Mar is Miles Lukoszevieze, Dylan Clarke, Harry Fisher and Acer Smith.

Black Transistor are a Stoner/grunge band from Norwich. Originally formed in the early 2000s. After a long hiatus they reformed again 2024.

DAUFODT - HAAVAT
Norwegian Daufødt has one foot steadily planted in the punk domain while the other one is kicking down doors to noise rock, drone and experimental music. The band joins us en route to Desertfest, with support from Norwich D-beat punks, Haavat and Jay Barsby.
After winning a Norwegian Grammy for their rock inspired debut album the band opted to go for a hard left turn for their second album with a harsher and rougher sound. Through a partnership with noise guru Lasse Marhaug the band made their sophomore album “Aromaterapi” and deconstructed noise tape “Eksponeringsterapi”. The releases were followed up by extensive club tours in Scandinavia as well as doing some of the biggest festivals there such as Roskilde and Øyafestivalen.

Our daring detective has been accused of a murder so deadly somebody died from it. Now she must clear her name while also solving her toughest case yet – the disappearance of Norwich’s most infamous gangster! Expect big puns and tiny guns in the first original play from Norwich’s sketch comedy titans, the Earlham Bus Incident. See THE film noir parody play at The Garage Theatre, 2nd May.

Flat Venus are a quintet inspired by the dream-pop and folk band scene of the 90s. With a wistful and foreboding approach to their harmony-heavy songs that “verge on Gregorian chant at times”, the group specialise in vulnerable lyrics, spaced-out, jangly guitars, and a driving rhythm section. For Fans Of: The Cranberries, Fleetwood Mac, The Pixies.
Kid Anansi
"That creative hurricane and me good friend, Kid Anansi!" Benjamin Zephaniah. The poetic equivalent of finding out that the drinks machine in your local McDonalds has replaced its Pepsi button with spiced rum. Kid Anansi is confusing, frightening, delicious with ginger ale and lemon, and unhealthy in large doses. His poetry will have you laughing, crying, biting your knuckles in second-hand embarrassment, or all three, mixing history and melancholy with slapstick humour and inimitable energy. A regular face on the BAFTA Award winning first season of Life & Rhymes, and host of poetry nights around London. His one man show: FIRST premiered in London from August to September. His debut album KID ANANSI EP: Ebonymous Posch is available to listen to on YouTube, bandcamp and SoundCloud.
Ross Pearson
Ross is an artist and filmmaker from Edinburgh based in Norwich. For roughly 18 years he has been producing videos assembled from fragments of existing television, film and assorted video ephemera with surreal, satirical or scatological intent. Previous video work has been described as “The kind of dream you might have if you spent the day drinking Red Bull and reading Private Eye and then fell asleep watching an Adam Curtis documentary”. He has exhibited work across the UK and in mainland Europe. You know it. He shows it. We love it. He’s a veteran in this game, and by the love of gawd, the way he looks both ways when crossing the road, proves it. Vinyl Bingo is proudly sponsored by Ross for this show. We have been sponsored by Ross for five shows and he is now ready to be a breakout star. Poppy Wareham
“My name is Poppy and I am a Norwich based, self taught artist. I use acrylics, and work in a bold abstracted, Often surrealist style. Colour is central to my studies and informs a lot of my creative decisions. No one piece is the same and I often change up my process each time I paint. I love the emotions my art can bring out in people and I want to share that as much as I can”! Poppy Wareham will be painting throughout the show, so feel free to take a look at her canvas to see what she’s created.
